I have a 706 series craftsman too cabinet, broke the lock and am having trouble finding a replacement that takes the rod in the back to lock all the drawers. If anyone knows where to find it or what that that lock style is called to narrow my search, I'd appreciate it!
15 Ιαν 2002 · I recently ordered three Craftsman ball-bearing tool chests from Sears.com. I've got six stacks of these and the quality (in the past) was a good balance of price and performance for home shop use. Total "on sale" cost about $1000 for the 18 drawer stack.
Craftsman tool chest key not engaging locking mechanism, can’t access tool chest. Double check all drawers all fully closed would be my first check. Tool or tools may have shifted during travel and got in the way of the mechanism, shaking the drawers/chest might help.

Naturally locked the tool chest to prevent all the drawers opening up. For some stupid reason, I put all sets of keys in an envelope for “safe keeping” and put it in a box and 2 weeks in/100 boxes open and still can’t find it.
