Crimsonwing Moth is a rare spawn in Talador with many spawn points but only appears once at a time similar to the Unborn Val'kyr of Northrend. Locations: /way 43, 57.7
This creature can be captured by engaging it in a pet battle. Crimsonwing Moths are moths found in the sourthern part of Talador. Delicate and dangerous, brilliant and bold, a beauty worth more than its weight in gold. Too bad they are so light. Flying: Gains 50% extra speed while above 50% health. Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Added.
The actual pet is Crimsonwing Moth. This non-pet NPC may not actually be in game, but just a vestige of the PTR, as all Crimsonwing Moths in-game seem to be captureable battle pets. The two new "rare spawn" pets that were introduced in 6.2 include the following: Crimsonwing Moth, found in Talador; Sapphire Firefly, found in Spires of Arak
23 Ιουν 2015 · I found a Crimsonwing Moth at 51.8, 39.9 (Just off the road between Shattrath and Fort Wrynn, at the Arch of Sha'tar). Lucked out big time - it was base rare P/S. I also found a Sapphire Firefly at 45.7, 62.0 (Just off the road near the fork between Southport and Bloodmane Valley).
The Crimsonwing Moth has a unique spawning mechanic. It has multiple spawn points, yet only a single spawn will appear in Talador at any given time. There will always be one spawn available, though.
22 Σεπ 2024 · I Finally Got my Crimsonwing Moth! I have farmed for that thing on several occasions, spending an hour or more each time flying around the zone with a target macro and a dream in my heart with no success. Last night, I tried again and finally got one. I’m a very happy camper.
