21 Δεκ 2022 · What I want is that the "Red box" stay on top of the page in a z-index 2, while the all the content on the background stay on index 1 but somehow this code is "collapsing" the layers. If someone can help me I really appreciate it.

20 Σεπ 2022 · Without any z-index value, elements stack in the order that they appear in the DOM (the lowest one down at the same hierarchy level appears on top). Elements with non-static positioning will always appear on top of elements with default static positioning. Also note that nesting plays a big role.
