21 Δεκ 2022 · What I want is that the "Red box" stay on top of the page in a z-index 2, while the all the content on the background stay on index 1 but somehow this code is "collapsing" the layers. If someone can help me I really appreciate it.
9 Φεβ 2023 · We can all agree that one of the weirdest, most confusing, and not-so-straightforward CSS properties is the z-index. When I started learning CSS, I was told by certain instructors that you use z-index when you want a certain DOM (Document Object Model) element to be on top of another.
20 Σεπ 2022 · Without any z-index value, elements stack in the order that they appear in the DOM (the lowest one down at the same hierarchy level appears on top). Elements with non-static positioning will always appear on top of elements with default static positioning.

Certain CSS properties creating new (and often surprise) stacking contexts. An element's z-index being limited by its parent's value.
Note that services and tools for sending emails may be able to inline your CSS for you, allowing CSS in <style> tags to work in Gmail. For instance, if you're sending emails with MailChimp, your CSS from <style> tags will get inlined automatically by default.
