21 Δεκ 2022 · What I want is that the "Red box" stay on top of the page in a z-index 2, while the all the content on the background stay on index 1 but somehow this code is "collapsing" the layers. If someone can help me I really appreciate it.

It’s super useful, and honestly a very important tool to know how to use in CSS. Unfortunately, z-index is one of those properties that doesn’t always behave in an intuitive way.
The z-index Property. When elements are positioned, they can overlap other elements. The z-index property specifies the stack order of an element (which element should be placed in front of, or behind, the others). An element can have a positive or negative stack order:
