New York State administered the Mathematics Tests in May 2022 and is now making approximiately 75% of the questions from these tests available for review and use.

English Language Arts and Mathematics test materials for review, discussion, and use. For 2019, included in these released materials are at least 75 percent of the test questions that appeared on the 2019 tests (including all constructed-response questions) that counted toward students’ scores.
This document contains released test questions from the California Standards Test forms in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. First on the pages that follow are lists of the standards assessed on the Grade 8 English– Language Arts Test. Next are released passages and test questions.
To view sample released test questions, you must enter a response in all the fields below (Grade Level, Subject, and Performance Level). When all fields are complete, select Submit. Note: End-of-course subjects are those subjects that can be taken by students in multiple grade levels.
In selecting test questions for release, three criteria are used: (1) the questions adequately cover a selection of the academic content standards assessed on the Grade 8 English–Language Arts Test; (2) the questions demonstrate a range of difficulty; and (3) the questions present a variety of ways standards can be assessed.
