The FCAT 2.0 Mathematics tests and sample questions and answers are based on the 2007 Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. The sample questions for students and the sample answers for teachers will only be available online, at http://fcat.fldoe.org/fcat2/fcatitem.asp.
In selecting test questions for release, three criteria are used: (1) the questions adequately cover a selection of the academic content standards assessed on the Algebra I Test; (2) the questions demonstrate a range of difficulty; and (3) the questions present a variety of ways standards can be assessed.

Students, parents, and teachers should use the released tests to better understand the FCAT and the types of reading passages and questions included on the test. The released tests can also be used to illustrate the length of an actual test and the difficulty of the questions on the test.
