4 Ιαν 2018 · CTA fares. CTA fares can be paid with cash at bus farebox and ticket vending machines (at rail stations), Ventra fare cards, contactless bank cards, and mobile phone with pay app. Seniors, disabled, and children under age of 12 pay reduced fare. It requires a Reduced Fare Ventra card.

For students age 7-11, a CTA Reduced Fare applies if the card is registered as "Reduced" or with the aid of customer service. See the CTA fares page for more information on Student Reduced Fare and Reduced Fare. To use Ventra, students will no longer need to carry a separate permit.
