For children 7–11, a regular Reduced Fare is deducted from transit value outside of Student Reduced Fare hours, if your card is registered (otherwise, students will need to ask for help to receive an age-based Reduced Fare).
CTA offers a Student Reduced Fare on its bus and train services for elementary and high school students ages 7-20 valid Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM through 8:30 PM.

The Student Ventra Card is a contactless hard plastic card capable of storing transit value and providing enrolled students with student reduced fare rides on CTA and Pace Suburban Bus Service. The Student Ventra Card is reusable and will only be deactivated if your child is no longer a student.
