12 Νοε 2020 · Since Steinberg doesn’t seem to provide any info here on the forum about the new way you have to activate your product (Cubase), I hope, maybe this will help: If you are getting the error “e-Licenser version too old” you are probably trying to activate using the Download Code , which won’t work!

Newly purchased Steinberg software always comes with an Activation Code - online by email or inside the product box. The corresponding license can be downloaded to activate an installation by entering the Activation Code in the eLicenser Control Center. In general, Activation Codes can only be used once.
All Download Access Code redemptions for Cubase 12 made after August 23, 2023 will result in a free Download Access Code for Cubase 13 (Pro, Artist or Elements). Please find it in your MySteinberg account under "Vouchers". If you have just activated a Cubase 12 license, please allow up to 30 minutes for the new Download Access Code to appear.
OLDER CUBASE PRO 12 INSTALLERS. In general, we recommend downloading via the Steinberg Download Assistant and always using the latest program version. In exceptional cases, it can be useful to install an older version. For this purpose, previous installers can be downloaded using the links below.

11 Ιουν 2022 · If you must have a pre-Cubase 12 edition, your best bet is to find a Cubase Pro 11 licence that has not been upgraded to Cubase 12. That will run any version of Cubase using the USB eLicenser technology up to any including version 11. It is up to you to find someone selling a second-hand licence and accept any risk in the transaction.
