12 Νοε 2020 · Since Steinberg doesn’t seem to provide any info here on the forum about the new way you have to activate your product (Cubase), I hope, maybe this will help: If you are getting the error “e-Licenser version too old” you are probably trying to activate using the Download Code, which won’t work!

The required actions step-by-step: Install your Steinberg software. Install the latest update if available in the Steinberg Download Assistant or on our download pages. Some installers allow for including updates during the installation. Open the eLicenser Control Center.
When you start a Steinberg application, Steinberg Activation Manager opens and shows the following error message: " No license found " Solutions. Please verify, if you have installed the product version matching your license. For example, you cannot start Cubase Elements using a Cubase LE license.
In case the activation code has been used already and the corresponding license has not been stored on an USB-eLicenser (dongle, key), please request a new activation code via your MySteinberg account.
That’s because you are entering the code in the wrong place. The Cubase Download Access Codes are redeemed in the Steinberg Download Assistant. Whether you need a USB-eLicenser or not, that depends on the type of DAC you will be redeeming.
