8 Απρ 2020 · Cuboid syndrome is a condition caused by a problem with the cuboid bone, producing pain on the outer side, and possibly underside, of the foot. The cuboid bone is part of the calcaneocuboid joint that helps you maintain foot mobility when walking.
Clinical Presentation. The symptoms of cuboid syndrome resemble those of a ligament sprain. Pain is often diffuse along the lateral foot between the CC joint and the fourth and/or fifth cuboidmetatarsal joints and may radiate throughout the foot.

A partial dislocation occurs at the calcaneocuboid joint, between the calcaneus (heel bone) and the cuboid bone.

Now, that is quite a wordy definition which essential means the subluxation of the cuboid from its natural position.
Cuboid Syndrome is a condition with anecdotal evidence that might be responsible for chronic pain after lateral ankle sprains.
