Curacne 20mg Capsules (Soft Gelatin) manufactured by PIERRE FABRE DERMATOLOGIE. Its generic name is Isotretinoin. Curacne is availble in United Arab Emirates.
Side Effect Common side effects of curacne include: dryness of the skin and mucous membranes, muscle and joint pain, hair loss, elevated liver enzyme levels, itching, rash, and nose bleeds. Serious side effects include depression, psychosis, and increased risk of birth defects.
Several trials on healthy subjects have supported the safety and efficacy of curcumin. Despite this well-established safety, some negative side effects have been reported. Seven subjects receiving 500–12,000 mg in a dose response study and followed for 72 h experienced diarrhea, headache, rash, and yellow stool .
Many of the side effects and adverse reactions seen in patients receiving Curacne (isotretinoin) are similar to those described in patients taking very high doses of vitamin A (dryness of the skin and mucous membranes, eg, of the lips, nasal passage, and eyes).
Why is Curacne prescribed? For oral administration: severe nodular-cystic acne especially with the localization on the body. For rectal administration: severe relapsing forms of acne, rashes associated with seborrheic process.
