Isotretinoin may cause serious side effects. Stop using isotretinoin and call your doctor at once if you have: problems with your vision or hearing; muscle or joint pain, bone pain, back pain; increased thirst, increased urination; hallucinations, (see or hearing things that are not real);
The most common side effects are mucocutaneous: dry lips, skin and nose. Other common mucocutaneous side effects are inflammation and chapping of the lips (cheilitis), redness of the skin (erythema), rashes, peeling, eczema (dermatitis), itching (pruritus) and nose bleeds (epistaxis). [50]
Serious side effects. Stop taking isotretinoin capsules and call a doctor or call 111 straight away if: you get unexplained bruising, or you bleed more easily – these may be signs of a blood clotting disorder.
