It's safe now, but there was a virus on Minecraft mods. It's been removed and new preventative measures are in place. But a lot of people did get infected due to it. 99% of the site is safe, but a hacker did distribute an infected addon for Minecraft on curseforge a little while ago.

7 Ιουν 2019 · I accidentally put Forge in the .minecraft mods folder itself, and it did that exact same thing. I tried to take the extra folders out but they just kept coming back, over and over again. I don't understand if those folders are messing something up, or what... please help me out, I just really want to play modded Minecraft again.
14 Ιουλ 2023 · I switched from Forge to Fabric, and that fixed the issue. Fabric has a lot of cool mods, but you can't play some that are available on Forge. Nevertheless, I like Fabric quite a lot, so I am going to stick with it even though the issue is resolved.
4 Δεκ 2023 · Uninstalling mods from curseforge (even if you didn't download it from curseforge) will delete it from your mods folder, with no trace of it to exist. Always keep a backup/copy of your mods, especially before adding/deleting or otherwise messing with any just in case. I would also just like to recommend better exceptions.
10 Νοε 2015 · Go to modpack on the curse forge. Open modpack folder (from the three dots on the side of the modpack name). Go to 'mods' folder. Search for the mods you want to remove and delete them naturally. Ps: you have to look into the mod you're deleting if it supports other mods so your game won't crash. Hope I was of help.

21 Μαρ 2023 · To use non-Curseforge mods on a modpack that you curate with the Curseforge app, you'd have to create your own installation on the default Minecraft launcher and go that route. So in other words, sort of defeats the whole purpose of using Curseforge.
10 Σεπ 2022 · You will find a folder labeled mods and config These folders function exactly the same as if they were in the default .minecraft folder If you do not know how to mod minecraft or edit config files please search how to do so. You should also not be doing this since you are probably new to mods. Congragulations You Did It!
