14 Ιαν 2016 · I rebuilt many of the 71 series blowers when I was in the Navy. To remove the gears you need a special set of gear pullers that removes both gears at the same time. You will also need a way to lubricate the gears and return the oil back to the oil pan.
29 Οκτ 2006 · 1. Can I use 75W-90 synthetic oil in the front of my 6-71 blower? I hope so because that's what I filled it with. I went to NAPA and they had a special on Valvoline 75W-90 syn and the tag on the blower did not say which 90W oil to use. 2. Belt deflection. I've got the belt and idler assembly all finished and everything is bolted on.
6 Νοε 2013 · On most of the old school "square tooth" 1/2" pitch belts you can usually tension them from the back side. On the newer "round tooth" belts like the 8mm, and 14mm pitch belts they usually recommend tensioning them from the inside (tooth side) of the belt only.
