  1. The display shows pairs of mods that conflict, to see which resources within that pair of mods conflict, hover the mouse over them. The HCDU Plus application can be taught to ignore known conflicts (by default it knows about InTeenimater conflicts).

  2. The Hack Conflict Detection Utility (HCDU) is an essential tool when using mods, but it does have some shortcomings. it doesn't consider STR#, OBJD, OBJf or other resources. it can't be told which folder to start in. it can't be told to ignore known conflicts (eg all the InTeenimater flavour paks)

  3. Hack Conflict Detection Utility for Ultimate Collection. I’ve had this laying around for a pretty long while, it’s an edit I made of HCDU that will use your Sims 2 UC Documents folder automatically without you having to rename it to The Sims 2 or something.

  4. I have several issues in my game that I KNOW are due to mod conflicts, but I've found checking for them so intimidating and unclear that I've put it off until it has started genuinely affecting gameplay. Am I just a little bit stupid? I'd apresheate some clearer instructions!

  5. For custom want tree mods, you have to replace one of your install files with a custom file, obviously replacing that with a different custom file will remove the previous mod, that's all that that "conflict" means.

  6. This small program will look for multiple packages in your Sims 2 Downloads folder that modify the same global procedure. If two packages modify the same global procedure, they might very well conflict with each other, causing one or both to break.

  7. Sometimes we can get some functionality out of both mods by loading in a specific order, but that doesn't change the fact that they do conflict and that 99% of the time you are missing some aspect of the mod that loads first.
