4 Μαρ 2014 · Here is the link for Remington's barrel date codes with an explanaition of how to read them. As noted previously, some year codes do repeat. With the repeat some history such as the overall model manufacturing dates, and or other history will have to be known.
11 Μαρ 2011 · I researched the barrel stamps and am stumped on a model 700.... and on a 1100. The BDL is a 7 mag Serial B6205xxx. The gun is mint and I know that there were never any barrel replacements or other surgery preformed but the barrel stamp is PA 27, which as I read the chart would mean June of 1932????
So I have this Remington 700 in 30-06 that I brought to the smith to be re-barreled. When he saw the rifle he said, woooah, this is an old one - a "flat top" I have looked up the date code.
5 Φεβ 2022 · Help with Late Model 700 serial numbers and barrel codes. In order to establish supplemental data relative to dating 700s I would like to hear from owners who purchased new 700’s since 2000 with date codes on the barrel and single letter or double codes as a prefix on the receiver.
10 Οκτ 2019 · Upon its arrival, I noticed the barrel code was LC which should indicate Feb of 1982 or '05 but the serial number on the receiver is E 642xxxx. I called Remington and the customer service person looked it up and said the receiver is from '98.
12 Σεπ 2021 · Need a little help determining the model of a Remington 700, 7mm rem mag rifle? Serial # B6239593, "PB" stamped. Barrel length is 24". I think it is a 700 custom circa 1981? The research I've done points to this model with the exception of the 24" barrel?
These barrels fit Remington 700 actions and many custom actions with Remington 700 style thread and bolt nose. Installation is done using the NSS Remage barrel nut and NSS precision ground heavy-duty recoil lug.
