10 Οκτ 2019 · Barrel Code vs Serial number LH 700. I recently purchased, sight unseen, a pretty nice BDL that is a left handed model in .270. Upon its arrival, I noticed the barrel code was LC which should indicate Feb of 1982 or '05 but the serial number on the receiver is E 642xxxx.
To finish off your build, you will need a stock compatible with the Remington 700 footprint. Barrel channel inlets will depend on your chosen barrel contour. The Remington Sporter and Magnum are sometimes referred to as #1 and #2 barrels/inlets.

Depending on how tolerances stack, you may have to make slight adjustments to either the barrel, recoil lug or receiver. The first step is to measure the barrel and the action and see how they line up.
