Recent production has moved that to just in front of the serial number on the slide. It will be a 2 digit code indicating the year it was manufactured. Rifles generally have the manufacture date stamp on the right side of the action, slightly behind where the barrel threads into the receiver.
25 Οκτ 2020 · #1. Does anybody know if I can determine age of my rifle by serial number ie provide link to website concerned. My rifle is 527 model chambered 223 rem, however it has double set triggers. I owned a BRNO Fox with same trigger setup in 222 rem many years ago, just wanted to try and determine the age of the one I own now. Many thanks in advance.
7 Ιουν 2013 · Please post photos of the full serial number on the stock, receiver, bolt, and barrel. Also post photos of the receiver ring and sidewall. Even if mismatched, sometimes especially if mismatched, serial numbers tell a story. The only reason to not disclose serial numbers is if you stole the weapon or bought it from a thief.
The serial should look something like: XX(triangle with C/cz)XXXXX. The first two X's are the year of production. If you have an older CZ without the triangle the 2 digit date is stamped behind the ejection port above the extractor. Edit before someone points it out: I know OP has a Shadow 2. The older CZ comment was simply to share the knowledge.
I see 3 serial numbers on the right side and a 20 next to a triangle. I'm assuming the 20 next to the triangle means 2020?
