That being said the best thing to socket is an Ist. But if you want something cheaper just any random jewel with mf, goldfind or maybe faster hit recovery. As awesome as wiz spike is the weapon is very temporary.
My favorite spells are rarely optimal, but I prioritize Out Of Combat spells on Warlocks and keep it to EB and one level'd damaging spell. Debuffing is also usually suboptimal compared to buffing or just doing damage, so the Curse aesthetic doesn't work most of the time.

24 Μαΐ 2023 · Item Generation. When a Base / Ethereal item drops from a Monster or a clickable object, it determines if the base is eligible for Sockets. There is a 1/3 chance that an item spawns with Sockets. If it does spawn with Sockets then the item shows up in a Gray color; just like an Ethereal. You need to pick up the item to see the difference.
I ran one of the UA spells on a Warlock and they provide great value for your spell slots. Warlocks get almost every summoning spell (all but Beast, Construct, Celestial, and Elemental) and especially some of the third level ones (Shadow and Undead in particular) provide ridiculous value.
6 Μαΐ 2023 · Level 1 Spells. Armor of Agathys should be a go-to for any Warlock. Not only is it a great defensive spell, but it also hurts enemies who hit you! Plus, Armor of Agathys scales very well by adding an extra 5 temporary hit points per spell level. As a spell that’s exclusive to Warlocks, this just delivers in every way!
