17 Ιαν 2023 · The DA2PP vaccine is one of the most common vaccinations given to pet dogs. In fact, it’s one of the first and most important vaccines that puppies receive. Like other vaccines, the DA2PP vaccine for dogs works by exposing a dog’s body to a small amount of weakened or inactivated pathogens.
Core vaccines should be given to ALL dogs and puppies. Non-core vaccines are given based on lifestyle and where you live/travel. Core vaccines include: DHP (also called DAP) – stands for Distemper, Hepatitis (or Adenovirus-2), and Parvo and are usually combined.
Combination vaccines are convenient and avoid extra injections for your dog. Your veterinarian will advise you on the appropriate vaccines for your dog based on his relative risks and lifestyle. The following core vaccines are recommended for all puppies and dogs by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Canine Vaccine Task Force:
Vanguard DAPP+CV contains attenuated strains of CDV, CAV2, CPIV, CPV, and inactivated CCV. The high-titer, low-passage CPV virus in Vanguard DAPP+CV is highly immunogenic and capable of stimulating active immunity in the presence of maternal antibodies. This product does not contain CPV type 2c.
