14 Σεπ 2020 · I’ve been using red silicon damping rings on the smaller (signal) tubes on my amp. I can see that there are a few alternatives, such as the HAL dampers, at higher prices. Has anyone compared these fancier dampers to silicon rings (either single or multiple)?

6 Ιουλ 2014 · My own experience is that some of them work better than others, and even the best of them only work marginally to damp tube ringing, are principally useful in guitar amps; and won't do anything to salvage a badly microphonic tube, not that they're entirely useless.
