David Samuel McWilliams (4 July 1945 – 8 January 2002) was a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Northern Ireland, best known for his 1967 song "Days of Pearly Spencer". Life. McWilliams was born in the Cregagh area of Belfast and moved to Ballymena at the age of three. [1] . He began playing guitar and writing songs in his early teens.

Singer/songwriter David McWilliams was born on July 4, 1945 in the Cregagh area of Belfast, Ireland. The only child of Sam and Molly McWilliams, David moved with his family to Ballymena when he was three years old. McWilliams attended both the Model School and the Ballymena Technical School.
