Rule 1 - Scope and Purpose. These rules govern the procedure in all civil actions and proceedings in the Civil Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, with the exception of cases in the Landlord and Tenant Branch and the Small Claims and Conciliation Branch of the court and other exceptions stated in Rule 81.
11 Οκτ 2024 · When a case brought in the Landlord and Tenant Branch is certified to the Civil Actions Branch under Rule 5(c), the case is subject in all respects to the Superior Court Rules of Civil Procedure. These rules may be known as the Superior Court Rules of Procedure for the Landlord and Tenant Branch and may be cited as "Super. Ct. L&T R. ____."
