30 Αυγ 2005 · I sometimes replace the Time Windows with my Vandersteen 1c's or stacked Advents. I keep going back to the Time Windows. The bass is good - separation is excellent.
8 Μαρ 2023 · So the speakers you have are DCM Time Windows. Do you have the serial number of the second speaker? I have written extensively about the TW including the 4-6 different iterations of the early model but the bulk of them are as you describe.
20 Αυγ 2010 · I saw some pretty wild things there, and remember TW7's quite well, although I was a teenager. Nowadays I see occasionally some oddball dcm stuff that is pretty rare. I saw for sale on CL some TW bookshelf models once! I just wonder if DCM made some experimental speakers, sent only to certian shops in certain markets?
4 Μαρ 2021 · The Time Window 3 got significantly bigger. There was also a Time Window version designed for use with a dedicated DCM Soundstage Center dialog speaker and finally a grandly executed Time Window after that, the name of which escapes me.
Totally worth $300. The driver surrounds are butyl rubber and are rarely subject to rotting. They’ve a huge soundstage and are designed with a phase aligned crossover. In terms of models, the “1a” is the most common and is a great speaker. The “3” and “7” are even better but are far more rare. They’re all definitely full range ...
Audio Enthusiast. Bought my DCM Time Window 7s on a 40% off whim when Incredible Universe went out of business in about 1996. I've kept them thru Yamaha to Rotel to Classe electronics and they just keep sounding better. Full range response, tight bass, super clear, with tons of space between and around the individual instruments and vocals.
