I designed this race upon request to homebrew a slime capable of absorbing memories from other creatures. The basic requirements were: Slime. Looks like a round, transparent/translucent blob (“clear jello”) Can absorb memories from creatures it eats. Can take on the form of other creatures.

The Oozefolk, a full-on homebrew race of humanoid-ish slimes, lead by thir royals ever trying to spread their influence further, while avoiding falling prey to the demon lord Juiblex's corruption, for the 5th edition of dnd, With 11 different subraces and 17 different racial feats between them!
This is a new Player Race that I created in collaboration of a friend of mine. While this is a bit outside of my usual wheelhouse, it was a whole lot of fun to work on this and more player races by me are currently in the works!

This slime race as class starts very weak, but it can become everything, be it martial or caster, ranged or melee, even skillmonkey is possible. It is also not playtested and probably OP as fuck. I also found this Occult Destroyer class in my Homebrewery folders.
You can build a Death Knight quickly by following these suggestions. First, Strength should be your highest ability score, followed by Wisdom. Second, choose the Soldier or Noble background.
In general, the race looks balanced, but the alter self spell is overpowered. If you changed it to alter self but only for cosmetics, that might be balanced. A magic weapon with a plus one damage bonus at first level is a little strong. All in all, it looks like a good race though.
