8 Σεπ 2024 · Using an X, Y or Z code in a CNC program tells the machine to go to a specific location along those axes. Location changes can be in one or more axes. If only a Z axis coordinate is given then the machine will only move in the Z axis.

8 Απρ 2021 · Hold your hand out palm up with your thumb and index finger pointed outwards, and your middle finger pointed upwards. Place your hand in front of your CNC machine, aligned with the machine’s spindle, and you’ll see the axes line up perfectly. Middle finger is the Z-axis. Index finger is the Y-axis. Thumb is the X-axis.

Parts to be machined is fastened to the machine table. This table moves in the XY-Plane. As the operator faces the machine, the X-Axis moves the table left-right. The xyz coordinate axis system, denoted 3, is represented by three real number lines meeting at a common point, called the origin. The three number lines are called the x-axis, the y-axis, and the z-axis. Together, the three axes are called the coordinate axes.
The x-axis is the horizontal line along which the wall to your left and the floor intersect. The y-axis is the horizontal line along which the wall to your right and the floor intersect. The z-axis is the vertical line along which the walls intersect.
