I do this too for the taluses with the ore on their back. It's a bit wasteful of arrows, but can be more efficient if you use multishot bows (at this close range all arrows would hit from 3x-5x bows), and you only need to do this about 2-3x.

Stone Taluses regenerate lost body parts shortly after losing them. If you can't climb onto it, stun it with a normal arrow, shooting the Ore Deposit on its back, making it fall on its face. If you are new to Taluses, we recommend trying the Stone Talus Senior or the Stone Talus Junior first.

Frost Taluses are icy variants of Stone Taluses. They can be found in cold, snowy areas throughout the Hebra and Gerudo Regions. They are coated in ice and will freeze Link upon contact, making it impossible for Link to climb them normally.
Talus and Hinox are ridiculously easy and you can beat both of them with a single charge spin attack with a 2 handed weapon. Lynel are more difficult but after you take down 2 or 3 then you start to get the hang of it.
