I do this too for the taluses with the ore on their back. It's a bit wasteful of arrows, but can be more efficient if you use multishot bows (at this close range all arrows would hit from 3x-5x bows), and you only need to do this about 2-3x.

Quick question: for the miniboss medals, does the game tell you an approximate location for Hinoxes, Talus', etc. or are you left to your own devices to track down all 40. Similarly, how do you keep track if you have killed 40 different ones? Don't they respawn during the Blood Moon?
