Win 10 should be set to automatically defragment HD type drives, not SDD. Go to the start menu and search for defragment. In the Optimize Drives dialog as you select the drive, it will show the plan for each drive. You are right, there is not much you can do to speed up the process. One thing is to "decrapify" your drive.

6 Ιουν 2016 · 1. In the search window, type defragment and optimize drive and select it. 2. In the new opened Windows it will display all the drives you have on your system and next to it, it will show whether its an HDD or SSD. Hope it helps. We will be happy to assist you further. Thank you.
