Punkin Chunkin Delaware is a large pumpkin tossing competition held each November at Bridgeville, Delaware. Teams from across the U.S. arrive to launch pumpkins with their homemade catapults, hoping for the farthest throw.
World Championship Punkin Chunkin (WCPC) was the name of an annual contest held the first full weekend after Halloween in Delaware from 1986 through 2013 and in 2016. It was also held in 2019 in Illinois and is scheduled to take place in 2023 in Oklahoma.
