At the Dell logo screen, repeatedly tap the “F2” key to enter the system BIOS. Navigate to “Keyboard” on the left menu. Under “Keyboard illumination”, select between “Disabled”, “Dim”, or “Bright”.

Once the fn lock is enabled, simply press the F5, F6, or F10 keys to enable or disable the keyboard backlight.
29 Απρ 2020 · I cannot control this via keyboard's hardware -- Fn+F10 only controls whether backlight is turned off or the level of intensity, but not the auto-turn off timer. I found nothing in Windows 10's keyboard configuration corresponding to backlight. I have no Dell-related software installed on my laptop.
