What they’re basically doing is spacing out the 2 hour long movie into episodes, adding some extra scenes, and even added an anime-original prologue episode. They claim they’re doing this to bridge the gap between seasons 1 and 2 together.
20 Δεκ 2021 · Episode 1 is new, watch that first. 2-7 or movie doesn't matter, they are near identical. If you are planning on binging go with the movie. I've watched both and I say the TV series is better (probably because of recency bias). But I think it's better to watch DS as an anime with multiple season.

It features extra scenes, some new soundtrack music and the first episode is completely unseen as it is a slight prequel to the movie. new scenes and first episode is original, also mostly from rengokus perspective. I've watched all of demon slayer and find it very enjoyable. I had 0 clue this "movie" was even being released until there were already reviews out talking about what it was. I found it weird that I'd not seen or heard a peep about this so I did some googling to see if it was an actual cannon movie like Mugen train or if it was something else.
I say it was worth overall, but I was surprised and let down. The first 15min after recap has some really cool stuff we haven't seen, but the rest was literally nothing. Reply reply. Ok_Strawberry_1104. •. The movie was literally the last ep of the last season. And the last 10 mins was some npcs running.
7 Δεκ 2021 · Well, either is fine. Personally, I think the movie is better overall than the TV version of that story, although the first episode of that arc was a new prequel that leads into it. So either way, you should watch the first episode of the TV version and then decide if you want to keep going or switch to the movie. 5. KK-Hunter.
Politely, they explicitly stated "this is just s2e10+11 and a 3 week preview watch of s3e1" when they announced the event, and all the advertising leading up to it. If you didn't read anything about it, saw "demon slayer movie" and walked in expecting mugen train levels of everything, yeah you would be disappointed.

We've seen what they can do. If Infinity castle is getting leaked this early then by late 2025 when the arc comes out the Animators will have had time to make a well made season if the leak is wrong. I don't care if Demon doesn't have animation so good that angels will cry tears of joy.
