The USA FLAG TM 5's Rulebook is a condensed version of the larger IFAF rulebook. Additionally, it contains separate rules for league play and tournament play making it useful to flag organizations regardless of how they structure their competition.
Girls Flag Football Rules. Each game will be played with two 7-person teams. It is played with many of the same rules as regular football but with a few precautionary measures taken so injuries are kept to a minimum. No blocking, tackling, or holding of the ball carrier.
1. Each team must provide its players with an official flag belt, flags and team jersey. Flags cannot be the same color as shorts or pants. The standard size is 2" in width and 16.5 inches in length. Flags may not be wrapped around the belt or in any way attached to except in the normal matter (Velcro).
