It all depends on what the desk surface is made out of. To do what you want you’d need a pretty thick surface, but it should be a pretty simple project to route out an opening for the power strip and a channel for the cord as long as the desk is solid wood/veneer over a solid core.
When attaching the Surge Protector to the frame mounting points, consider the location of other UPLIFT Desk accessories you plan to attach.
