Instead of freely move and place an icon, I hold the command key while moving the icon to a place I like. When I release the icon, it will "snap" comfortably to the location.

I revert my keyboard through following these steps: Open system preferences; Select accessibility; Select keyboard; Enable sticky keys; turn it off ; Problem solved!

5 Δεκ 2023 · Sonoma desktop icons keep moving. Running Sonoma 14.0 on a MacBook Pro. Suddenly, my desktop icons change position when I wake from sleep or reboot. In view options, "Stack By" and "Sort By" are both set to "None", as always. I don't enable "Snap to Grid, or any "Clean Up" function.
