9 Σεπ 2023 · After reading various related messages on the web, I tried the following simple trick when placing the icons on the desktop. Instead of freely move and place an icon, I hold the command key while moving the icon to a place I like. When I release the icon, it will "snap" comfortably to the location.
14 Ιαν 2021 · DESKTOP ICONS NOT CONTROLLABLE with Mac OS Ventura 13.1 I've just installed Mac OS Ventura 13.1 on my MacBook Pro and can't move my desktop icons as before. When I try to move them, they immediately snap back into their opening location. Any suggestions about how to resolve this?
7 Σεπ 2012 · Your desktop icons should not move if in the Finder under the View menu in "Sort by" you select None or "Snap to Grid". If they do let us know.
11 Οκτ 2023 · If you choose "Snap to grid", you should be able to move the icons anywhere on the desktop. When this bug is active, you can't do that, all icons go to the top right, to exactly the same...
1 Απρ 2012 · It looks like your hidden .DS_Store file in your Desktop is corrupted, which will cause this issue for sure. You can restore this by using Terminal. Now, if you see a list of all your Desktop items, you're in the right place. And make sure you check whether or not the .DS_Store file is there.
