I was wondering if DeSmuME had a similar "fast-forward button" feature- a key I could hold down that would speed up the emulation...
22 Δεκ 2022 · If you have an older CPU like my Core 2 Duo and my Sandy Bridge, trying some of these speed up tricks will help: https://wiki.desmume.org/index.php?title=Faq#DeSmuME_runs_too_slow.21. For Pokemon Diamond in particular, turning on Dynamic Recompiler in your Emulation Settings will help a lot.
There's an actual fast-forward option that you can set a button for in the Hotkey Config options. You could also use the Increase/Decrease Speed keys to quickly set the FPS target (up to 4x).
I was playing a game on my DeSmuMe emulator, and accidentally hit f11, which sped up the game's frame rate. Instead of 60, like it should be, the framerate is 72. I really want to bring it back to 60 but I don't know how.

12 Δεκ 2022 · To set the speed-up button you can check Config > Hotkey Config options and there you can set hotkeys for Fast Forward, Increase Speed, and Decrease Speed. If your character is in the game moving slowly, then you can use the keys to speed up the game on your DeSmuME emulator.
