My suggestion has always been to stop watching after season four, or at most, to watch season 5, For a sense of closure. But the quality of the show really goes down after season four, and the final season is downright terrible. It may ultimately depend on how well they handle this new ending.
Season 4 finale. I recently started watching Dexter and I just finished season 4. I'm trying my best to stay away from spoilers until I'm actually done with all the seasons but it's so hard because I really wanna know how other people felt about the finale.
Sorry mainly about the ending of Season 4, but I watched the first episode of season 5 to see how it developed. I watched the finale of 4 back to back with the opening episode of 5 and cried for like an hour. I agree. I believe season 5 and 6 were so dissapointing because season 4 was so amazing.
