14 Ιουλ 2014 · The quest drop bug can be used on Andariel (permanently bugged), and all 4 of the other bosses (Duriel, Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal) being individually quest bugged each game with 2 specialized characters, or by joining specific public games. Requirements: 1 main character (Magic Find Character).
4 Οκτ 2021 · Solution: Quest drops should be personalized loot and can only be collected when the player is present while the kill is being taken. Or: remove quest drops and make all boss drops be quest drops by default. In any case this exploit should not be possible.
If you quest bugged andariel, the bug would override her normal drop table with the quest drop table (a better one). They patched the bug by making the normal table the same as the quest table. This way wether you "bug andy" or not, you always get the better drops.
Workaround is to open a town portal and re-activate the altar normally without telekinesis. Problematic interaction with Alkor in Act3 when trying to hand in both the Book Quest and Q1 item at the same time, Alkor gives book dialogue and ends dialogue and player has to attempt completion many times.
Guide. If you're a veteran player, the real tip is at the end. It works on PC, not sure about console. Killing an act boss (Andariel &, Duriel, Mephisto, Baal) when your quest is active drops better loot than if the quest isn't active.
13 Ιαν 2023 · The TL;DR: The mechanic of "bugging" Andariel is secretly wreaking havoc by overriding the Terrorized Andariel Desecrated Treasure Class, breaking, and restricting you from better potential loot drops.
31 Ιουλ 2021 · You can quest bug Andariel which means every time you kill her, her loot chances are as good as the quest kill. To do this you simply go back to town, talk to Warriv and head straight to Act 2. To quest bug Duriel, you need a partner.
