29 Ιουν 2021 · When your body is in homeostasis, the values for fluids, chemicals, electrolytes, and secretions are typically within an acceptable or “normal” range. When you have a pathologic condition (e.g. a disease state), these ranges can change as a result of an imbalance in your body.
Lab test results are reported in different ways. Some results are a number. But how do you know what that number means? To answer that question, your lab report tells you whether your test result is in a normal range called a reference range or "normal values."
