(1998) is a musical drama chronicling the romance between Amar ( Shah Rukh Khan ), an earnest and curious journalist for All India Radio, and Meghna (Manisha Koirala), an undercover revolutionary who carries deadly secrets within her.
Dil Se turned out to be a particularly challenging film for both Shah Rukh Khan and Mani Ratnam since the former didn’t speak Tamil and the latter didn’t know Hindi. So, they had to contend with the difficulty of communicating in a phonetically alien language like English.

His comment unlocked the puzzle of “Dil Se.” By the time I joined the cinema studies department in college, I knew the film (now available on Amazon Prime and Netflix) was a masterpiece.
