Metric DIN 7 parallel dowel pins are solid cylindrical rods made of a variety of materials that are used to strongly and accurately join two or more objects together. Parallel dowel pins are able to join parts together by frictional forces between the pin and material into which it is inserted.

DIN 7 – Dowel Pins are precision manufactured solid cylindrical pins with a Tolerance Class of m6, which is oversized, and h8, which is undersized. The tolerance range varies by pin diameter and is referred to as the “limit deviations” and “tolerance zone”.

These parallel pins, devoid of a head, are radiused or chamfered at both ends. Press into press-fit holes and avoid impact force (striking the pins can cause them to splinter). They are used as guide and wrist pins, plug gauges, valve plungers, shafts and are well suited to align parts.
