Don't be afraid of cutting it yourself - you can clamp the stock stuff back on with the same BMW part they use for the Dinan kit (And for the M performance exhaust - part number 18307536426 - 65mm exhaust clamp).
I broke down and bought my first real mod for the M. I have done a few things already (Macht Schnell air filter, tint, wheels/tires), but this is the first one that really counts in my books as a performance modification. (Finally!!!)
11 Ιαν 2018 · DINAN is worth it because they are reliable and come with the warranty on the whole car. They don't hurt and likely help the value of your vehicle. Certainly the fun factor goes way up.
Some parts are great like ignition coils, others are total wastes of money like the M62 "performance" intake manifold, which is actually just a BMW factory original M60 manifold with a Dinan stamp on it.
30 Μαρ 2023 · Just had it installed, fitment was good and seamlessly attached to my VT midpipe. Sounds better than most G8x setups too, will post sound clips once I get a few. 2 things bothering me were the left exhaust tips being closer to one another compared to the right side and I tried adjusting but it was the pipes.
