Getting good Dirac results does take some experimentation and time. Multi-channel home theater systems typically have many problems to correct such as time alignment, poor placement, and level matching. With these problems, Dirac can work wonders and has received huge amounts of praise on HT forums.
Click on the step by step guide below to see how to troubleshoot signal to nose issues. In order to improve the SNR, first try to increase the master output of your receiver. Mic gain might be needed too, but be careful as this will increase the noise floor. Please experiment.
4 Απρ 2020 · So I'm having some trouble with Dirac 2.0 limited version (500Hz). I use a MiniDSP UMIK-1 and going through all the steps. When I'm done and listening to the correction, the sound is worse.
24 Απρ 2019 · The answer is in your plots. You had almost 20db of boost at 35hz and a good 10db from 150Hz and down and you got used to that "incorrect" sound. Dirac cut that all out so it now sounds relatively thin. In addition, the default Dirac curve is pretty bright. I use some B&K and OliveToole targets that I like much better.
