18 Απρ 2013 · The TI blanks used IM700 (certified PRO) which kept them durable, and the Titanium gave them sensitivity boost. The XMG blanks are a higher modulus graphite making them comparably less durable but lighter and more sensitive than IM700.
1 Ιουν 2003 · Unsanded and slightly softer in action, they were discontinued after S-glass became popular. Or so I read. How I remember them - I remember them being sanded, ie, the ridges from the tape was sanded, leaving the rod smooth. I also remember a much darker color than s-glass.
Lamni company has been "associated " with rolling blanks for well known glass builders to their individual specs. Now some will admit to this fact while others closely guard their specific blank sources.
20 Απρ 2010 · Are the Lamiglas fly rods you are enquiring about the type with the unusual joint? It was not unlike a traditional cane rod ferrule, but made in carbon. The top joint fitted into a carbon sleeve bonded to the adjoining section. They were good blanks for the time. Low modulus carbon. Slow in recovery and action.
These powerhouses are lightweight, again like the Perigee, but with a deep burgundy finish that is new and different than most blanks on the market. Not dissimilar to their discontinued "plum" coloured LHS blanks, but more rich in hue, this finish is a perfect match for translucent Garnet wraps, and is truly beautiful in its own respect.
23 Δεκ 2013 · Josh has already found a suitable replacement for the material that will allow Lamiglas to continue the SI Series after 2014 has ended. All the parts will be interchangeable. I hope this helps.
27 Ιαν 2023 · My last custom jig and worm rods came by way if Lamiglas who used to make custom rods for me. Call Lamiglas to order a rod equal to the Loomis NRX but light overall weight (under 4 oz) with a similar fore grip in a 5 power fast action rod.
