We were in Kauai Feb 19-26 and rented a car from Discount Hawaii Car rental. I was very pleased with the price. We reserved an intermediate car. When we got to the Avis counter, they gave us a Toyota Venza. We took the car and really did not like it at all as we wanted a larger more comfortable car.
I'm looking to rent a car for a day or two while we're in Oahu. I'm wondering if the site discounthawaiicarrental.com is legit? They are so much cheaper than the car rental site itself ( like Avis) . I would be renting from a Waikiki beach location and not the airport.
I'm a little hesitant to book my car rental through Hawaiian Discount Car Rentals or similar discount agencies, as I find nothing about them on the Hawaiian BBB website. Apart from reading TA entries by people who say they have used them, how else can I put aside my fears?
