In fact, Kenya has seen an increase in environmental pollution, which threatens the environment, livelihoods, and people’s health. This has been attributed to factors including weak enforcement of regulations, inadequate funding for pollution control, and a lack of consumer awareness, among others.

Objectives and Expected Results. The goal of this project is to improve solid waste management and control pollution in general in order to protect human health as well as to enhance the quality of the coastal and marine environment in Sub-Saharan Africa.
