The washing agitation will help displace the lint and the vinegar will help loosen the lint from the fabric by relaxing the fibers.
Simply placing the clothes in a dryer often removes loose lint. Use a lint guard dryer sheet to get rid of more lint during the drying cycle. Tip: Use a lint defuzzer for a quick lint cleanup. My favorite tool for manually removing lint from jackets and sweaters is a lint defuzzer.
